Mass Tree Planting Day - 10/11/2009 The BBC 'Breathing Space' School's initiative is running a mass tree planting day on Tuesday 10th November. A free Rowan tree has been provided and as many schools as possible are being encouraged to take part in the project.
Members of the school Gardening Club have already planted wild flowers and developed a pond area to encourage wildlife. Today, with the help of Dr Parker they planted the Rowan tree. It has been placed close to the new science laboratories and will be easily visible from the biology lab. It will serve as a reminder of the need to conserve our planet. |
