Travelling through time- 06/11/2009 The future is bright at Thornton College as pupils look forward with excitement to the opening of their new Junior and Science block.
To mark this moment in the school's history, pupils have created a time capsule to let people in the future know a little about their school and the way in which they live.
They hope that whoever finds the capsule will learn something of their lives today and can compare it with life in the future. In that way, Thornton girls become part of history. People in the future will be able to look back in time and have a very clear picture of what life is like in Thornton College today.
Among the items placed in the capsule are profiles written by students, a school prospectus and a record of many achievements and their excellent examinations |
