At Thornton, the happiness and care of every girl is very important.
In boarding we have five members of staff who make sure that we are well cared for. Miss Kelly is our Head of Boarding and she is supported by resident housemistresses.
Members of the teaching staff are also involved in organising and running activities for us. These activities are creative and fun, and include card making, games, sports, dance and cookery (and many more). Miss O'Mahoney, our resident dance teacher, often takes us for dance in the evenings.
The Sisters are also involved in our care, and are an important part of the Thornton community. At the present moment, we have seven sisters in residence at Thornton. The Sisters organise chapel on a Sunday and take us for prayers in the evening on Wednesdays. The Sisters take a keen interest in our activities, successes and school life in general.
